This module is a new learning resource developed by the USAID Climate Ready Project to enhance the Project Management Practice certificate course it is delivering across the Pacific in partnership with University of the South Pacific Technical and Further Education. The module focuses on equity and inclusion aspects of project design, management, monitoring and evaluation. While the content is relevant to the design and management of projects in any sector, it has a special focus on addressing gender equity and social inclusion (GESI) in development and climate change adaptation initiatives. This module will help students learn more about: what gender equity and social inclusion means, why GESI is essential to project planning and management, who is responsible for GESI outcomes; when to use GESI strategies in the project management cycle, and how to effectively implement/mainstream, monitor and evaluate GESI sensitive approaches. A downloadable GESI Workbook is also included. (Accessibility – this module is accessible for a variety of users, and the software used is friendly for visually impaired users as it supports JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver and TalkBack screen readers.)
