Caribbean Climate Investment Program

CCIP aims to unlock private sector investments in renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies, adaptation interventions, and natural climate solutions across the Caribbean.

Caribbean Climate Investment Program (CCIP) aims to unlock private sector investments in renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies, adaptation interventions, and natural climate solutions across the Caribbean. CCIP is
a four-year initiative that complements flagship U.S. Government climate change and energy initiatives, including the
U.S.-Caribbean Partnership to Address the Climate Crisis 2030 and the USAID/DR Caribbean Energy Initiative.

CCIP aims to mobilize $100 million in capital in its four years of operation. At the end of Year 1, CCIP’s grants mechanism alone is on track to unlock a projected $80 million in capital for renewable energy (RE) and energy efficiency (EE) technologies, adaptation actions, and natural climate solutions in the region.

CCIP will continue to build on the network and partnerships it developed in Year 1, as well as its integrated ecosystem of services, to drive more efficient and effective regional collaboration. By facilitating connections between stakeholders, CCIP aims to mobilize more investment in climate solutions while contributing to a
strong, sustainable, and locally led climate finance ecosystem.
