The Comprehensive Action for Climate Change Initiative (CACCI) Partnership for Climate Action Factsheet

CACCI launched the Partnership for Climate Action to engage private sector partners to help mobilize the funding and resources needed to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement, the USAID Climate Strategy, and CACCI.

CACCI is a global program designed to empower countries to develop and implement ambitious climate policies and practices that mitigate climate change and increase resilience. CACCI supports nations in executing their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and National Adaptation Plans (NAPs) while fostering local ownership and inclusion.

CACCI launched the Partnership for Climate Action (PCA) to engage private sector partners to invest in critical projects that decarbonize economies and strengthen national resilience; help shape policies that enable climate investments and financial flows; and track and report on their emissions and pathways towards net-zero emissions. This engagement is vital to mobilize the funding and resources needed to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement, the USAID Climate Strategy, and CACCI.

Through the PCA, CACCI enables private sector partners to:

  • Develop impactful interventions aligned with business interests and NDC/NAP targets
  • Identify investment opportunities for projects aligned with NDCs/NAPs
  • Connect with U.S. Government expertise and partner country officials for enhanced climate impact
  • Pool knowledge and resources in collaboration with other partners to drive transformational change within countries, communities, and markets of interest
